Our Unwritten Seoul — A Warm, Healing K-Drama You Shouldn’t Miss

 Lately I started watching a K-drama called Our Unwritten Seoul 

— and by episode 5, na yojeum wanjeon ppajyeosseo! ㅠ_ㅠ (Click here to learn this expression ^^)

Have you seen Misaeng or My Mister?


These are some of my favorite K-dramas 

— all set in Seoul, and all filled with that quiet warmth that hugs your heart in the middle of busy city life.


Our Unwritten Seoul has that same vibe. 

If  you're into soft, emotional stories that quietly heal your heart, this one is 완전 강추! (highly recommended!) You'll love this! 😊







💜 A Story of Two Sisters and One City


The story follows twin sisters, Mi-ji and Mi-rae 

— whose names literally mean “unknown” and “future.”


They decide to switch lives for a while, and through that journey, 

they come to realize

: What you see from where you stand isn’t the whole picture.


The drama gently explores themes of family, first love, and real friendship — not in a flashy or dramatic way, but in a gentle and comforting way that quietly heals your heart.

It’s the kind of drama that makes your heart feel soft and warm~ 😭







💜 Summer Nights and Seoul Lights


Right now, Korea is burning up with mudeowi (scorching heat), and the yeoldaeya (tropical nights) are no joke!

So lately I’ve been turning on the AC, grabbing a cold drink🧊, and watching one episode each night.


It’s become my little summer comfort routine~ 😎ㅎㅎ







💜 A Scene Full of Korean Emotion

Hangang Ramen — it’s that warm, spicy bowl shared by Mi-ji and Ho-soo. ^^



One of my favorite scenes is in episode 2 — Mi-ji and Ho-soo sit by the Han River, 

eating Hangang ramen made fresh from an electronic ramen cooker.

That’s exactly the kind of ramen I always eat when I go to the Han River, so this scene felt extra special for me.

It’s way better than just regular cup noodles! ^^ I’ll tell you more about it in my next post~







💜 The Cast That Makes It All Work


Park Bo-young plays both Mi-ji and Mi-rae 

— and as always, she’s full of sincerity and charm.
Her performance is bright, vulnerable, and so believable.💓


And the male lead? It’s GOT7’s Jinyoung! (not JYP😉)
He’s completely different here 

— no flashy stage persona, just a soft-hearted, pure-souled character you can’t help falling for....😻







💜 Seoul, But With New Meaning

In Korean, Mi-rae (미래) means “future” and Mi-ji (미지) means “unknown.”
So the Korean title 미지의 서울 means both “Seoul of the unknown” and “Mi-ji’s Seoul.”

Beautiful, isn’t it? The show isn’t just about Seoul as a place 

— it’s about Seoul as a personal, emotional journey.💕







💜 A Quote That Will Stay With You


One line from the drama really stuck with me:

 

어제는 끝났고, 내일은 멀었고, 오늘은 아직 모른다

 

Yesterday is over. Tomorrow is yet to come. Today is yet unknown.


It felt like the show was quietly reminding us:

And..just a heads-up?

So yeah, keep a towel close — tissues won't be enough 😭





💜 OST Recommendation: Yuri Choi - 노란 봄 (Yellow Spring)


Also… if you’re the type who falls in love with OSTs, this one will melt you.

My favorite track from Our Unwritten Seoul is 노란 봄 (Yellow Spring) by 최유리 (Yuri Choi).

Her voice is soft and a little wistful — it feels like someone gently calling out to you from a memory you didn’t know you missed.


This song first plays in the latter half of episode 2 

— during a flashback scene of Mi-ji and Ho-soo. It's the moment that adds a soft, youthful glow to the story.


노란 봄 literally means “Yellow Spring,” and it perfectly captures that feeling of a warm season that’s beautiful but somehow fleeting.

As the music plays, it feels like time slows down — like the world pauses just to remember a soft, golden moment.

In short,
